Ming Wang Your Way

Lights, camera, fashion! Official “casting” for Spring 2014′s “I am Ming Wang” photoshoot is in full swing. We’ve asked eight boutiques across the country – J & J Fashions (VA), Malouf’s (TX), Libby’s (NC), Stephenson’s of Elkhart (IN), La Grande Dame (VA), Wheatfields on Main (KS), Three Generations Boutique (SC) and Morgan Fitzgerald’s (TX) – to show us how their customers style Ming Wang. The wonderful sales associates from all eight boutiques have been submitting photos of clients striking a pose in their favorite Ming Wang pieces – and the results have been phenomenal!

One lovely lady will be chosen from each boutique to join their sales associate and win an all expense paid trip to Dallas, Texas to participate in next season’s “I am Ming Wang” shoot! Here are just a few photos we’ve received so far:

Words from a winner: Jan Hunter

We had another successful store contest on Facebook – this time it was Morgan Fitzgerald’s turn.

Morgan Fitzgerald’s first opened its doors back in February of 1993. They have grown their assortment throughout the years to include everything you’d need to get dressed from top to bottom. Their assortment includes everything from wigs to shoes, and brands like Brighton, Vera Bradley, HairUWear and of course Ming Wang. What immediately caught my attention was how they measure the success of their customer service: by the number of times their customers voluntarily say “We love this store”. This means that they have made their customer feel comfortable, respected and valued. They have had several Ming Wang trunk shows with successful outcomes, so clearly, the next step was to hold a Facebook contest. The contest lasted two months; although there were many entries, only one winner could be announced and that lucky winner was… Jan Hunter!

Jan came into the store excited to pick out her winning outfit. She immediately gravitated towards the evening group, and picked out style M3482. While she was at the store, we decided to ask her a couple of questions on her style and Ming Wang.

1. What do you like best about Ming Wang?  (Fit, color, style, machine washable, travel friendly etc…)
“It’s a classic look and I feel classy when I wear it.”

2. What do you think makes Ming Wang stand apart from other fashion brands?
“It travels easy, it’s packable, and resists wrinkles.”

3. When wearing Ming Wang, how does it make you feel? Feel free to share with us any compliments that you have received lately.
”Elegant & Classy, it fits me perfectly.”

4. Describe your personal style and how Ming Wang fit into your current lifestyle?
“It’s comfortable but still stylish; I like how I can dress it up or down.”

5. What are some of your best tips on mixing Ming Wang in with pieces in your current wardrobe?
“I simply go back to Morgan Fitzgerald’s and have them tell me how to mix it in!”

6. What is your definition of a “real woman”?
“A lady wearing Ming Wang.”

7. What are some looks/trends that you would like to see in Ming Wang that are not currently offered?
“I wish there were more casual styles to choose from.”

Absolutely beautiful!

We had another successful Facebook store contest – this time featuring my store, The Bridge Boutique!

Let me just say that my history with Ming Wang has been a long, but fun journey.  I have been working with Ming Wang since 2003, helping both the design and sales teams. In 2007, I decided to open my own boutique in Fort Worth, TX. I wanted to expose the lifestyle and help women better understand the versatility of Ming Wang. The Bridge also carries a fantastic selection of casual, business, and evening attire that caters to every age, shape, and size (with a range from XS-XL and 1X-3X). I decided to partner with Ming Wang for the first time to partake in all the social media buzz and create a Facebook page for The Bridge Boutique and host a contest. Let me just say I was shocked! I didn’t know so many of my clients were on Facebook.  I was so glad I participated because now I keep up with my girls day to day. Apart from the great results, setting up the contest was easy. I feel like I have no time for anything extra with the store but Ming Wang set it all up for me. I was definitely blown away! The contest ran for about a month, and I am happy to say we picked a winner; Congratulations to Shelah Hartfield!

She picked out a beautiful Riviera jacket in a subtle zebra print. While she was here, I decided to ask her a couple of questions on fashion, life and all things Ming Wang.

“What do you like best about Ming Wang?” I love the colors and the fact that it’s so easy to care for.

“What do you think makes Ming Wang stand apart from other fashion brands?” The quality is excellent and it’s a very fun brand.

“When wearing Ming Wang, how does it make you feel?” It definitely gives me a confidence boost!

“Describe your personal style and how Ming Wang fits into your current lifestyle?” My style is more on the casual side so I love the fact that I can wear Ming Wang all the time and take it with me on trips.

“What are some of your best tips on mixing Ming Wang in with pieces in your current wardrobe?” I love pairing them with my skinny jeans.

“What is your definition of a “real woman”? A woman who knows herself.
