Balancing work and play, but rushing to find that perfect transition outfit? It’s not hard to take your office attire and turn it into that go to outfit for drinks with coworkers on a Friday night! Just play around with your style, and add or subtract a couple of items from the look. Take my example below. Start with a jacket and pencil skirt for work, and accessorize accordingly, add a belt to cinch in your waist. For cocktails after work, just take away a few things and you’ll be ready for a night of fun. All you have to do is take away the belt and jacket. Wear a top that when paired with a jacket, looks professional, but can also be worn alone as a stand out top. A shiny metallic tank can be the way to go, it gives just enough drama!
I always look forward to August. It’s that time of year when the fall fashion trends make their debut into the stores! From clothing, to accessories to handbags, and let’s not forget shoes! It’s the time to start collecting must haves for our fall wardrobes.
One of the biggest trends this season is all about color. Color on color from head to toe. Get ready to see designers showcase bright coordinating colors and neutral jackets and bottoms. I for one am in favor of this top to bottom color trend. I really think women look much taller and slimmer when they dress monochromatically.
Now that you know how much I love this trend, I have to be honest with you: I will never invest in a pair of hot pink or orange pants to match a jacket. Call me old fashioned, but I don’t have room in my closet for a pant that I will wear just a few times this season. I need to be able to mix and match everything I wear to really make sense of my wardrobe. In Ming Wang’s Fall Collection, the color group of Mocha/Latte/Black out right now, we have the choice of matching Mocha bottoms in skirts or pants. However if you still only have room for one pant or skirt this season, your best bet will still be that trusty BLACK bottom. Make sure to check out the whole collection later this fall, and be dazzled with the Granite/Dawn and Black group!

Ladylike fashion is back, with classy looks that will make any woman appear feminine and sophisticated. When picking clothing for a ladylike style, go with boxy shapes but in lighter fabrics. Soft knit blazers or cardigans can be great pieces especially if you pick the right ones. They don’t have to be so formal and lighter colors also add a bit of softness to the look.
Check for details such as lace, fringe, and buttons. Textures such as tweed and jacquard can also play up the feminine appeal. Try and coordinate your outfit with different colors that compliment each other. You don’t always have to match things up! And finally go for a few but bold accessories to pull everything together.
